This morning our group hiked the Jockey Hollow area. We took the Grand Loop trail to Patriot’s Path to the yellow trail (leading to the officer’s huts).
It was a glorious day, weather-wise. Sunny, warm and breezy, yet not too hot or cold. Delightful in the woods which were shaded. This hike is relatively easy, no elevations to speak of that were too taxing. However, there really was only one overlook in which you could see the skyline of NYC, specifically the new 9/11 tower.
We finished the entire hike in about 2 and a half hours with a stop at the officer’s huts for pictures.
